We are delighted to share that our YoungGems® program has been spotlighted in the Welcoming Cities’ Putting Out the Welcome Mat guide! We are running this program in partnership with the City of Canning and Multicultural Futures, and it is currently in its second year.
This guide supports communities in developing initiatives, policy, partnerships and ideas that advance welcoming work. The YoungGems® program was recognized by this national organization for our work in economic development with the City of Canning. We are proud to equip our mentees from diverse backgrounds with the practical skills required to build and run their businesses.
We are currently seeing our second cohort go through the program and it has been inspiring watching such a passionate, diverse group explore their business ideas and tackle new concepts and skills. We can’t wait to watch them pitch to a panel of judges and an audience at the end of the program.
